Dr Sam Kamau joined AKU-GSMC in July 2015 as a faculty member.  His responsibilities include curriculum development, research and innovation, student mentorship, teaching and corporate training.

Before joining AKU-GSMC, Sam taught at the University of Nairobi, School of Journalism. His teaching and research interests include political communication, communication research & theory, social media and blogging, and development communication, among others.

He has also served as a research consultant for Strathmore University Law School and conducted communication training programmes for various groups including Somali journalists, public health workers and young professionals.

Sam offers commentary and analysis on different contemporary topics on local television.
